Three months later...

Two things have got in the way of my blogging.  First my job as an EMT, and second I bought an XBox...I'm sorry?  Um...I'll try to write more and XBox less.  But we'll see.  I'm also starting an online MCAT class, so I may or may not write more.

Hope everyone is doing well!

I'm back!

So how was everyone's summer?  Mine was semi-productive, after I finally dragged my butt out of bed.  I just finished an accelerated EMT class.  All I have to do to have certification in two states is to take and pass the NREMT exam.  Once that is finished I can go ahead and get myself a real job!

I was planning on reapplying to medical school this year, but I am just so burned out.  So I am postponing until next year.  But for now I am putting the focus on getting a job as an EMT.  Get a job, make money, then worry about the future.

I am very sorry for being away for so long.  I had some personal journeys I had to get through.  I will have more to say on that in the future.  I am going to be taking advantage of the relative anonymity of this blog and air out some dirty laundry.  So for the next bit the blog is going to be focuses on my issues, including family and my inability to say yes to girls who want to date me.

Until the next post!

For those ALC virgins out there

A short post since I posted twice (and both of them long) yesterday.

I'm starting to feel more comfortable in my blog writing.  I feel like I'm figuring out what I want to address and what I want to focus on.  And now that I've found my voice I'm trying to spread the word out about this blog.  So if you're new to the blog I am an admittedly young closested lesbian.  The overarching purpose of this blog is to help show that one can be gay and be tight with the big guy in the sky.  But as is the case there are other interesting aspects to lives and I want to talk about those too.  So I complied a list of focuses (foci?).

- Bringing Gay and God together
- The journey to figure out what Butch means to me and how I can abide by that
- Questioning sexuality and what's it like when you don't know your whole life
- My love life (or more likely lack of)
- What it's like being closeted particularly as I embrace my Butch identity
- If things go according to plan, my entrance into the military and as a result DADT
- Perhaps some fiction and other forms of revelry
- And most importantly having fun and trying not to be too serious

A journey starts with a single step...I wish I had a bigger foot

I wanted to write a really good intro blog post about how one doesn’t have to limit themselves to certain labels.  Example: gay and Christian don’t have to be mutually exclusive terms, but that seems sort of obvious.

I decided to create this blog because, introverted as I am, I write a lot better than I talk…sometimes.   I want a place to be serious, to be funny, and talk about whatever I feel like without the awkward silences that sometimes follow my ramblings.  My focus for the blog is going to revolve around sexuality and God, but don’t scold me if I get off topic.

I'm going to try and have at least one pic or video per post even if it has nothing to do with the post.  Additionally I am a lover of quotations, so I'm going to find or pull one from my collection or the Bible (this is a religious themed blog after all).

Now on the off chance someone actually reads this blog, know that I’m open to comments and conversation about anything I post.  Welcome all!
